Snapshots | A Little Ways Away

The road to Reno, NV might not seem like much of a destination, but the road to Reno can be an unexpected scenic adventure.

Just about 4-hours north-east of the Bay Area via I-80, the road to Reno takes drivers through mountain ranges, along the Truckee River and past impressive valleys. However, the never-ending construction on I-80 and what feels like a drive through every season of the year can make the trek feel longer than the 4-hours it’s supposed to take, not to mention the traffic that ensues due to said construction.

For drivers whose daily route brings them up and down I-80, the rush of having to get from point A to point B on time makes it hard to find any positivity in their commute. But, once the traffic clears and the roads widen, for a moment, I-80 near the CA/NV state line reveals its surrounding scenery, transforming I-80 into a scenic route.
With an open mind, even the most mundane trips can turn into something mesmerizing.
